Learning a new language in 2021: is Ruby stil worth it?
I'll dedicate next year to learn a new language and try to become fluent with it. The doubt remains between Ruby, Elixir and Go.
Go looks great for microservices architecture and concurrency, elixir looks like it's a lot of fun and BEAM and OPT can actually compete with Go's concurrency. Ruby, on the other hand, is currently the most used of all (from my research) but it seems that it's declining and a lot of ruby users are moving towards elixir.
What are your recommendations?
