Yet if we embrace MMT, one might ask why bother taxing anyone? Debt-financed spending would dwarf revenues to the point that they become an administrative burden and a rounding error on the ledger.
So the question is: would rising the taxes for the rich make the life of the poor better?
I think the "New Deal" and taxes that were going with it, while flawed at the time, gave the US the basis to become the 1rst power in the world, and made most americana, even poor ones, better. Because infrastructure is for everyone.

Financed by taxes or by inflation, i don't care, but if one thing can be learn from USSR and now China, is that central planing is shit in most situation, but when its working (with infrastructure and networks) its a big net positive.

Why is this flagged? Just generally anything that isn’t capitalist propaganda isn’t welcome?
