A system that used the vertical blanking lines to encode text in pages displayed on the users TV. You could use you remote to select other pages by number.
The system was much more popular in the rest of the world, vs here in the USA. I do remember has a kid it being available on my grandparents TV in the north east USA.

I actually use there app version everyday. And my grandpa of 91 used to use it everyday before his Alzheimer's got the best of him.
