Great hiring move. As someone familiar with Tenstorent after reading that article, I’d just like to say that I agree that the critical members of the company all have backgrounds in silicon design. Really excited to see where they go.
Intel has just published a news release on its website stating that Jim Keller has resigned from the company,
effective immediately, due to personal reasons.
Intel’s press release today states that Jim Keller is leaving the position on June 11th ( 2020 ) due to personal reasons. However, he will remain with the company as a consultant for six months in order to assist with the transition. [1]
Six months later he took a new job. Some may want to look back at their comment on the subject. [2] [3]
Still waiting for the Story between Jim and Gerard.
I wonder what exactly Jim did during his last stint at Intel? An older article said...
> As far as we understand, Jim’s goal inside Intel was to streamline a lot of the product development process on the silicon side, as well as providing strategic platforms though which future products can be developed and optimized to market. We also believe that Jim Keller has had a hand in looking at Intel’s manufacturing processes, as well as a number of future products.
Fair enough, I always assume "family/personal reasons" is a cover unless details are provided. Companies don't tend to make internal power struggles public.

Did he fail at whatever he attempted to do or did Intel fail him? I would guess the latter.
Intel's CEO needs to go yesterday. I can't believe he's still there.
