The real authoritarians are about to take hold in washington for the next four years. Lets not kid ourselves. I was at a blm rally in dc freedom square this summer and some black ladies were screaming that they wont stop till every white boy is dead.
How many people died at the protest that you were at? How many people were carrying tools for ad-hoc tribunals [0]? How many people were beaten by the police?
At some point, your own personal discomfort with the lived experiences of protestors must be contrasted with the real and materially-evidenced crimes of trespass upon and destruction of federal property, up to interference with federal operations and treason.
Consider what the BLM protestors were protesting in the name of: the human, inalienable rights of black Americans.
Consider what the so-called "protesters" yesterday were protesting: the tenets of democracy. They were waving flags with a single man's name on them and planting them at the capitol. That stinks of monarchy, dictatorship. after protocols had already been followed to reverify election results (Georgia had 3 recounts for god's sake!)
To echo a phrase of the insurrectionist's holy savior there were "rioters on both sides".
Where were these impassioned "patriots" in 2016 when there was an election with evidence of manipulation by a foreign power. They were nowhere to be found, you know why? Because their allegiance isn't to the country who's founding and raison d'etre is the rejection of rule by a single absolute power, their allegiance is to an incompetent fool who wants to turn one of the only successful democratic countries into a dictatorship.
Think about intentions. Think about (idealized) American history. Which sounds more American to you?

but against stolen democracy, stolen elections, 4 years of lies and propaganda and cynical manipulation of public opinion by these useless politicians.
That storming of Capitol was the most patriotic protest since the American Revolution, and I'm really proud of my fellow citizens who risked their lives, and those who died there but let their voice be heard.
As for BLM, please, where did all that donated money go? BLM was a political hack, made irrelevant right after it served its purpose in the elections.
Right, if you do believe those things, I could understand how you view this as a patriotic event, but where is the proof? Where is the evidence? Countless sources have debunked the president's claims and at this point even his closest allies are admitting his position is untenable and are abandoning him.
In addition to critically looking at the election, I implore you to critically look at the president with the same scrutiny and same demand for accountability and evidence. You're not dumb. Being selective with your application of critical reasoning is how you get duped. Don't fall for the misdirection. Consider his motives, his incentives. Do you really think he wants to give up power? What evidence has he presented? None. Take a closer look at his rhetoric, you'll find it's empty. Yesterday, he promised to march with the "protestors"--did he? Do you really trust a leader who cannot even uphold such a simple promise? Listen to his phone call with Raffensperger. He tells him to "just say you recalculated" -- this is not a person who has or wants evidence for anything. He understands the power of the media and the old adage that if you just repeat something enough, suckers will eventually believe it.
Look carefully at other countries that have "fair elections" and dictators that are "re-elected" constantly. Consider their tactics. Consider what they say about elections. Who does it remind you of?
Or, you know, continue to demonize the lefties who want to give you free healthcare, eliminate poverty, save the planet, stop police from indiscriminately murdering people, etc. The left isn't looking to tax the shit out of the average person you know...they want to take business sharks like the president who have made most of their massive fortunes screwing other people (not familiar w/ that? research some of the 45th's business history in NY). Think that's just smart business? Newsflash--he's screwing you just like he screwed the contractors. He's making bank and you'll be paying for it.
