I saw a similar thing with OnlyFans several months ago. A paid ($2.99) "OnlyFans" app was in the top 10 for paid App Store apps.

I wonder if somebody could design a phishing attack using a copycat app like this.

Also Safari is suggesting perler.com when searching the url.
There's a strict dichotomy between people on the inside and on the outside.

People on the outside say "Oh, it's pronounced like the French word for 'speaking'." People on the inside don't.

Lol. This reminds me of the cases where parties have someone run for election with a similar/identical name to the opposition and thereby split the vote to win.
I think things like that happen more than people realize and are pretty funny.

Like Steve Perry was replaced as the lead singer for Journey.

In the beginning of the 2nd movie of Back to the Future, they replaced Michael J Fox's girlfriend with someone else. (did anyone notice? I was ... hmmm... I swear something's different...)

I wonder what the risk is when dating a twin.

Most people wouldn't notice.

The CEO is saying that AWS is about to kick the system off its platform, so the full court press of collaborative US political & private-enterprise censorship is coming down on them.
What political censorship?
The nature of the censorship is inherently political, even if a private organization is doing it. “Political” actions do not require a government edict.
I’ve wondered what would happen if I launched a service called “Mastadon”. I suspect it would be swarmed by Americans.
