What is happening to our country? Bans from social media, app stores, hosting platforms...now financial orgs. Is this what we want, extermination of the side we don't agree with? Punish without a trial or hearing the other side? One of the comments captures the intent/sentiment of the left: "Corporate America, hit the Republicans where it hurts!!!" Hope we wake up before we destroy each other.
for what its worth - some Dems are losing funding as well (I think Mariott pulled funding?) Companies don't want to piss off either side so I guess their gonna pull back from both?
Personally, I'd find it an improvement - I've been waiting for election finance reform! :-)
May be, but those are few and far between. The full/coordinated effort is now on wiping out as much of the right leaning folks/orgs as possible, taking advantage of the uproar over the Jan 6 event.
They are waking up before we destroy each other. That's precisely the calculation. Republicans have been making a non-insurable proposition, should it succeed. And the idea it could succeed, however slight that risk is, has such an absolute penalty that these companies are backing away from all incendiary sources.
And those sources, of maliciously anti-democratic lies, are coming from Republicans. Fact. Not all of them. But most of the Republicans in the House, and a handful in the Senate. Hence why Dow, among others, are expressly and permanently withdrawing donations to the Republicans who voted not to certify the election.

I refer you to these two comments of mine, partly out of lazyiness, and partly because I don't yet know how to say it any differently.
