This "gen.variant.razy" that a handful of antiviruses are detecting as malicious is detected by heuristic. You can Google "gen.variant.razy" and see developers complaining that their freshly compiled code gets false-flagged as containing this virus.
I think saying this file "most likely has a virus in it" is alarmist - it's much more probable that it's a false positive from a heuristic detection.
Agreed. As someone who has shipped games with networking I can attest that false positives are fairly common and a big hassle to deal with. The article should investigate further or at the very least discuss the chance of a false positive.
