He was not wrong.

Recall the Unite the Right Nazi rally at Charlottesville. Them dressing like Trump. Them waving his flags. Recall the participants in the rally also being participants in Trump's political rallies, like Matthew Heimbach.

When protestors triggered one of Trump's Republican extremists into committing a terrorist ramming attack. The attack injured many and killed a girl. Trump hesitated making a statement against them. These were his people. The attacker specifically was an Assad/Putin fanboy that was deep into the MAGA cult.

Eventually Trump was forced by those around him to make words on the incident. What did he say? Was it explicit denouncement? No, it was dog whistles.

"Very fine people on both sides."

To Trump's fans it was mission accomplished, they rallied, they killed and Trump called them very fine for their efforts instead of just outright denouncing them.

Fast forward to the Capitol attack, organized by Republicans and Trump's administration including his personal lawyer. Give Trump's enemies "trial by combat" Giuliani said. In the crowd were various militias including the Oath Keepers who I screenshotted in Trump's rally crowd before they were seen in the Capitol building siege.

When the siege was done one of the Republicans who backed the coup attempt, Matt Gaetz, took to the same floor that blood was shed on hours before to defend these insurgents. He took to the floor to claim it was actually antifa, the right wing boogeyman, not Trump supporters who did this. He claimed facial ID tech recognized antifa, unfortunately for Gaetz the facial ID tech he cited actually found QAnon/Trump militants seen at other incidents. Of these Trump/Republican militants the participants of the Unite the Right rally were also there.

When it was clear the coup attempt failed Trump took to Twitter one last time to say "I love you, you are special." He was saying this to the same people who were at the Unite the Right Nazi rally years earlier. He was saying I love you to the same people he called very fine, both at times when he was meant to be denouncing their terror. He instead gives them love and support.

Yes. There was nazis about that day. Trump loves them, thinks they are very fine, and are special

Divisive language? There were people with Nazi insignia that were part of the riots. In what way was the employee wrong? Just curious.
