There's been a suggestion that re-running the election might save America from civil war. Is it wise, then, to impeach Trump?
What, keep holding the election again and again until the voters give the answer Trump wants?
In the UK we had a vote to leave the EU and many otherwise intelligent people were wholly in favour of having a second vote because they either thought the majority of around 2 million wasn't large enough or those people who voted to leave didn't really understand what they were doing.

We never had any allegations of fraud on the scale you've had in the US, btw.

I’ve never understood why a referendum like this would be a simple majority. Shouldn’t such a drastic result require a 2/3rds clear win?
People voted in the knowledge it was a binary in/out and the result would be decided by majority.

I don't recall anyone suggesting such an idea until after the fact they didn't get the result they hoped for?

There were allegations that the Russians manipulated the voters via fake news etc on Facebook.

Very much like the allegations when Trump was elected, but not actual voter fraud.

Note that individual cases of voting fraud have occurred in the UK various elections (often more local) with several imprisonments including politicians in the past but not with referenda, and never a national conspiracy.

Another election full of lies and hatred, followed by either A) Trump wins or B) Stop The Steal v2? IMO that would be setting a beeline for a civil war.
That's quite the editorialized HN post title. The link goes to "Trump impeachment: Several Republicans to join Democrats in House vote".
