Google says it’s closing the Fitbit acquisition–uh, without DOJ approval? (arstechnica.com)

It seems like they’re explicitly allowed to continue with the deal after a certain time period without notice? Really the article doesn’t talk about that aspect much, and is more about the current state of wearables on the android side.

From the article: "the agreed-upon waiting period expired without [DOJ's] objection"

Seems misleading, the article mentions that Google made it through the agreed upon wait period during which the DOJ could bring up objections, and that that period has ended.

Closing the deal without DOJ objection. Sounds pretty normal to me.
