What are the figures for the office?
We had a damned good architect get let go at my previous job because he got caught at his desk. Thing is he came in early daily and left late at night, had been twice divorced, and lost custody of his daughter. The guy literally lived in his van behind a Chili's across from the office (we tried taking up donations to help him get a place but he refused it and donated it instead...hell of a guy...).

Anyway one morning apparently his manager came in while he was releasing some stress and threatened him with sexual harassment so he left instead. It was sad that he was let go, but he eventually wound up working for Wells Fargo so I guess he landed on his feet.

And I know for a fact that one of our analysts took almost hourly bathroom breaks because she was, in her own words, "hyper sexual" and it helped her concentrate. Also a damn good analyst, so I was like hey dude whatever you need to get those projects cranked out. She was like a machine lol.

All that to say...I'm going to assume they are pretty high as well :D

It's such a shame. The same thing happened to our night support guy. Someone came in earlier than he expected... He kep his job as we were a tiny company and the ceo was too crazy for HR to mean much. But then left when they cut his pay as punishment. Staff turnover went up as suddenly everyone had to start covering 6pm till 1am shifts NYC time... Pfft I say.
Those numbers seem way too low!
You should read it as “... admit to masturbating...”
In true HN spirit, anyone here using home made hacker tools while "working from home"?
I'm online with my team all day, via video or audio, and I use a company laptop that hooks into their VPC. Plus, I have a real job and actual work to do. Thank god, I'd be half blind by now.
As if it was any better when they used to work from office.

At this point it should be accepted as normal behaviour and people shouldn't be shamed.

Historically only 17% men have got chance to pass on their genes so why not let men enjoy the only chance they've at pleasure other than drugs.

Right! 100% all the things adults do that we then turn around and shame others for or act like it's some how bad or weird. I wonder if it's mainly an American thing? I'm guessing other countries are more, less, or about even in terms of sex positivity, so it would be cool to see stats broken down by geography.
Just an American thing? People online seem to say this all the time but I can’t imagine any country that talk more about sex and ex positivity than America.
Where can I find a source for that? I'm curious on the percent for women, also.
I'd have been more impressed if the image they used was of a dude cranking his hog :D :D :D

I am a little bit interested in the 'engaged in video sex chat with coworkers' tidbit...I'm all for people getting their freak on but for the love of god do not use corporate tech to do it...where I work at least theres a non-zero chance that shit is being recorded without your knowledge (I know..I know...there's a non-zero chance with any of it...but winding up on some website isn't the same as winding up sitting in front of Deb from HR getting fired).
