Ask HN: Gonna sue Instagram as last resort

1 points by itsthecourier ↗ HN
I had my personal account reported as impersonation by a hacker. Submitted an appeal to Instagram and sent them the government IDs proving my innocence. A german employee denied the claim wrongfully and stopped replying the emails.

Cannot download my instagram family photos from 10 years, because I have 2FA (I still have my token) and if you do, the "export data" procedure of ig fails. Incredible they punish you for using it.

Have tried emails, calls, in app messages, linkedin messages, twitter messages to not avail.

I don't want to lose my family photos, seems to me that suing them is the only mechanism to get human attention to it.

What do you think?

BONUS: The turkish hacker who did it, charges usd250 to falsely take down an ig account. I believe he has some kind of superuser/affiliate interface
