Great work by @patio11 and gang.

If only the actual vaccine rollout could have gone better. California is languishing in the 48-49th position out of 50 states with only the likes of Alabama and Missouri below it in vaccination rates.

I wish there was a healthcare.org style effort for unfucking the websites used for vaccine sign-ups. Just getting to see the list of appointments on the website many counties are using takes a ton of effort, and people who read/type/mouse slower are at a huge disadvantage. I think once the majority of seniors are vaccinated and the process is opened up to younger people, the remaining seniors will have an even harder time getting vaccinated
I have found a similar issue in another COVID related website recently. Effectively zero validation on data entered. This enables any half competent dev (could probably just use some Firefox plugins) to completely own the whole process.

The internet was meant to enable access. Now I see government services being put on the internet only to become owned by anonymous developers and then dolled out from there.

It’s far from equal or equitable.
