I like nav apps, but can tell you my life impact without them is very minor league.

How about we end a war or two, fund GPS, do some space and make sure our future scientists, leaders, inventors and the parents raising them have a home, food to eat and are able to see the doctor.
GPS or not, offline maps are available. Digital Thomas Guide. Although, I do miss flipping through that and trying to memorize the directions while planning a route.
