I had a surprisingly violent reaction to this piece. I found it incredibly distasteful. And the reason is that these people are socializing decadently on the tax dollars of Americans and to a lesser extent the other countries of the world. I feel like they should not be working in quite that much luxury. And by the way, I feel very much the same about most American bureaucrats. They no longer seem to understand that they work for us. They seem to think we work for them, and their gigantic pensions and benefits tend to support that impression.
