People always blame dummies on stuff like this but why can't it be all those secretive algo traders screwing up? The volume of this is $7 million, that's not much but also not small enough for a few day traders that are screwing up.

I've always thought it's people (or algorithms) buying the stock in advance in the hopes that they'll profit from other people making a mistake and buying the stock. Sort of like typosquatting.
I'm more surprised that it's taking so long to liquidate whatever assets Blockbuster had.

It's not like they had any specialized equipment or intellectual property, did they?

Who would buy retail real estate and VHS tapes in this day and age?
