This is fanatic news. I use Wayland for my day to day (per-monitor scaling in GNOME is reason enough) and more adoption will bring wider software support. Not that XWayland is much of a problem, but it would still be nice to kill it off or make it very rare.
One of my personal problems with wayland is that electron and other chromium apps can't properly fractionally scale, they're all blurry.

The bigger issue to me is that there are hundreds of little issues like this that make it painful to use wayland still.

None of my programs work with Wayland. So why would I use XWayland when I can just use X.org?
I need "xterm -S/0" to work. Ubuntu 21.04 is dead to me.
