As a mac owner, do you develop using mac native tools or in linux on a VM?

I am a ubuntu/PC user who is looking at switching to the mac, but I have some questions. How many Mac users develop on it using native mac tools? or do they use some flavor of linux on a VM in the mac? I would not want to let my linux skills go to waste. so, should I make the switch?
