Deciding to shut down people's backlash against a company and its practices, just in it's own?

Who made Google the arbitraror of that?

I guess that makes sense, after deleting the positive reviews and the app itself and the developer account. Keeping a fraudulent app around is pretty bad.
Sounds like a case of tripping anti review bombing - scores don't normally turn on a dime from a large surge of reviews. This is one of the relatively few cases where it is "organic" in that it is a direct response of users to their actions and not a marketing effort from competitors. Even if you took all of the scandals which made the news and lead to legitimate negative reviews they would be a tiny sliver compared to the adversary attacks.
