Ask HN: How to sync my files to my home server?

Is there a home storage solution with client software for windows, linux and android supporting live sync (like dropbox).

I tip my hat to Nextcloud which I am experimenting with at the moment but I am not really looking for a platform. I just want to sync my remote files to my home server.

Take a look at Syncthing. Been using it without any problems for a few years now.

This, or resilio sync has been solid for me. There are others like freesync and goodsync but I have never tried them.

Just use cron to run rsync every hour or something
