ESP32 does not use ARM. It uses Tensilica Xtensa LX6 microprocessor.
Its a great chip, I use it in a lot of projects that require close range wifi. If you dont need wifi or need low power or longer range, its better to go with stm32 and dedicated wifi chip

They are both supported in Arduino IDE, my personal preference is platform IO though.
IFTTT changed their terms recently so not sure If I would continue relying on them
