Ask HN: A windows .md setup you're happy with that has good Math, Chem support?

I make math and chem notes in markdown. I need to work locally on windows, although I can use online rendering, cdn etc.

I spend too much of my modest allotment of brainpower never quite getting everything setup properly : fonts, delimiters, latex commands that are working one place don't work when I publish, or work when I publish but not when I preview locally.

one day, when the world is perfect I will use BSD and it will be 2 o'clock on a sunny afternoon all day, but until then do you have any recommendations so I can stop fussing with config and do some work?
