I don't think Google cares since they're currently about 85% of the global phone market and they're projected to be 88% by the end of 2023.
If they don’t care why are they paying billions to be the default search engine on iOS? Obviously they value data from iOS.
I think they care because in US, their home, where they make a lot of money the percentages are not that favorable, depending if you look at phone sales or at mobile users you would see Apple around or even above 50%.

Though is fair you will not see this statistics a lot, people are usually find and share the numbers that work the best for their narrative.

That just means that with time more and more poor people will get online and buy their first smartphone, which obviously will be an android. That doesn’t mean google cares too much about those poor people because they don’t make google much money. iOS users on the civilised world, though...
For a moment, let’s assume Google cares. What would be the reasons you think they did care?
