As someone not in the loop, this almost reads like confused rambling. I get the feeling there's some point being made, but I can't seem to get a grasp on it.
As far as I can tell, based primarily on the last paragraph, the post is supposed to be an illustration of wrongdoing by some Debian Developers going unpunished, while several former DDs covered in other posts on the blog were removed from the project for what they would say are much more minor offenses.
Debian had a big fit when Dr Norbert Preining, who maintains TeX packages, used the pronoun "her" in reference to Sage Sharp who stopped being a woman. Dr Preining was expelled 7 days before Christmas 2018 for this shortcoming of gender awareness. But when a leader promotes his girlfriend for an internship, with $5,000 on the line, nobody makes any comment. Double standards.
How is that newsworthy? That's precisely why diversity programs exist - some person who otherwise couldn't get a job or promotion now manages to get it. Isn't that the whole point?
