The moderator of the Java group on Linked.In was driven nuts by people who wrote blog posts about some topic like "the difference between a static and instance variable" that not only garbled the English but garbled the facts.
A flood of low quality articles in spam is one reason why I deleted my Linked.In account. Linked.In was cool when I first started to use it, but too many people pissed in the pool and it stinks now.
