I would like 12 equal months with 30 days each followed by a 5 or 6 day period of celebration and reflection between the prior and next year. Each month could also then be made of 5 six day weeks (or 6 five day weeks). Making the celebration between "years" a "week long thing.
Or how about starting the year on the equinox or the solstice?
a 10 month calendar with 6 week of 6 days would work for me as well. If July and August were dropped, it would allow some of the original meaning of SEPTEMber, OCTOber, NOVEMber, DECEMber to ring true again. I would propose 4 days of work and two days of leisure per six day week :-)
Some print shops (commercial printers) would contain joke calendars that showed each week with two Fridays. Thus making it more likely for jobs to be "completed before the weekend".

Both would improve the calendar in my opinion.
I’d prefer a more purely metric calendar if we are going to the effort. Stardate system I suppose
