The photorealism is amazing, yet there is the uncanny valley feel to it. I am somewhat repulsed that they are so close to human, but not quite there
In that sense, Pixar movies evoke a lot of joy since the rendering is quite different to the real thing. Hollywood FX spends an insane amount going full 100% to avoid uncanny effect.
However I feel we’re probably only a decade or so away from delivering something that feels truly human.
