so glad they're tackling the big problems.
This is been discussed before when Apple and others have changed the emoji glyphs of existing Unicode code points. This should be highly frowned upon as it, in effect, goes back in time and alters the historical written word (or picture in this case). It would be like opening up all copies of Huckleberry Finn on the planet and replacing certain objectionable words with others. This should not be OK. If Apple wishes to allow its users to denote a Covid injection, they should add a new code point to represent that.
