What will happen when all good usernames are taken

what goes up and never comes down? The number of usernames on HN! The internet is a ticking time bomb. The number of good domain and usernames is finite in nature. They are also quite permanent . As i speak more good, concise and witty names are being snatched up. There is a disaster looming up on us, what will happen when all the good names are taken? The next generation will be deprived of the privilege of a clever virtual moniker. I pity the new generation whose options are steadily dwindling. I fear them as well. Who can predict the havoc that millions of disillusioned youth can visit on an internet that has relegated them to second class? what can be done to stop this?

We'll just add qualifiers like '_12' to the ends of our usernames. Problem solved.
at least 12 people here wish that @Marshmallow had never been born. Our problems are just beginning...

How weird are company names going to get in the future just because of the need for a domain name?
Double your beloved nickname, yours already had to do that.
Why do usernames have to be unique in the first place (other than due to some poorly built services using usernames as primary keys)? I think it's fine for multiple people to have the same usernames for anonymity and practicality
I think that's the case with StackExchange, but I don't know of other sites that allow that.
joebiden is still up for grabs if anyone wants. (das4119?)
I can sell my nickname or exchange it for any nickname with smaller amount of letters with my surcharge.
