Ask HN: Best type of progressive lenses for coding

I have presbyopia and had bought a pair of glasses with progressive lenses years ago, but I couldn’t see the whole screen clearly. They seem to be made for people reading individual lines from emails or a book one at a time rather than needing to quickly scan blocks of code. This made my work as a developer more difficult, so after a few weeks, i gave up on glasses.

Now my eyesight is more of a problem, so I must find a pair of glasses that will work.

Has anyone that felt this way found a pair of glasses or contacts that they liked, and could easily code while wearing?
