Been an Xfinity customer (Comcast) for multiple years with the cable/internet package. Even though I sign a contract (1 or 2 years), fees go up almost every quarter (between 5 - 10 dollars) and the argument is that these are not the cost of the core service. I have checked and these are not taxes being demanded of them by state or county.
This practice seems to be common in all their markets.
What are the options here? Switch to another provider? Government should look into this? What?
Verizon's Fios is a competitive alternative if it's available in your area.
Before switching, I called Xfinity asking if they would be willing to drop their rate to match and they flat out declined saying they can't compete.
