This suggestion may at first sound facetious, but I've just this week been mulling over the possibility of writing technical instructions in verse. I've lately been reading the old Norse sagas and have been struck by how the structured verses can be concise and easily remembered. The problem, of course, is that verse will automatically be seen as an (inappropriate) attempt at humor. I might first experiment with versifying boardgame instructions.

The TED speaker here seems to be speaking in blank verse, which has much less of the benefits to which I'm referring.

Yeah! Keep in mind that you do not need to write out the line separators; you can delete them potentially to “hide your crimes” so to speak and the benefits of memorability may remain
