I made this silly script for checking for updates in 'misc' (very proud of that acronym btw) packages. It's nothing complicated, and more of a template than a 'one-script-fits-all' situtation, but I realised I hadn't come across something like this before, and I consider it very useful. It made me wonder if other people here have done or seen anything similar?
