Ask HN: Quick Look TypeScript Files on macOS Catalina / Big Sur?

Has anyone figured out how to make Quick Look (when you select a file and press the space bar to toggle a preview) to work with TypeScript files? Mac believes that they are MPEG-2 stream files, even after changing the default app. It seems like it has become harder to do this every few OS updates:

- Previously you could edit a plist file manually

- After that you had to edit it from recovery mode

- Then a third party QL plugin called qlcolorcode worked

- But now it appears that there might literally be no way to do this

Anyone find a way to make it work?
