People tend to take their parents for granted, but this web page is a good reminder that there are a finite number of visits left. Back when my parents were alive, sometimes when they would call me I did not have the time to speak with them. I did visit them regularly (more so after I got married and had kids), but I wish that I had made more time for them.

Why don't you ask if both are alive and the age of each one? The life expectancy of women is higher than the life expectancy of men.

That's true - there are many nuanced factors around life expectancy. This is just a quick hack that I threw together, but it's also open source and I'm happy to take pull requests adding this kind of functionality.

Life expectancy is strongly influenced by economy of residence/birth. Australians live 4-5 years longer on average than citizens of the USA and 1-2 years less than citizens of Japan.

Life expectancy is also influenced by ethnicity. And smoking rates and treatment in hospital and exposure to economic benefits and harms..
