Ask permission from HN: can i steal your design?

i have an idea to combat the deteriorating link posts in sites like HN and reddit.

so i am working on the web site now but i suck at design, to be blunt.

so i was wondering if i have permission to steal the HN design.

or if a designer wants to contact me and help me out, that would also be great.
