Ask HN: Would you use Barkles to have short debates?

Hi guys (brand new here!) - I am working on a startup: http://Barkles.com (The Place for Short Debates) and was wondering if it was a service you would use?

How short do the posts have to be?

Probably wouldn't, it often takes longer to write a short post than a long one. It is nicer to read though. Maybe it should just encourage the writer to summarize after the post is written, as a twist on drafts and finals.

Each post is limited to 200 characters. And I agree with "it often takes longer to write a short post than a long one" - We hope that by doing this we can encourage stronger and well crafted opinions vs large opinions that are usually followed up with "TL:DR".

By doing this we do realise we reduce the # of opinions, which could impact on involvement.
