Google Voice will soon no longer be able to forward text messages (9to5google.com)

For people wondering, this is an optional functionality where incoming text messages would both show up in the google voice app, and be forwarded to your linked sim card number as well. (and you could reply to them).

I have google voice and didn't even know it was an option...

I wonder when they will shut the whole service down - it's been neglected for years. They just did a UI refresh and started to remove features.
