Ask HN: Which team would you join and why?

All else equal, would you elect to join a 3 person team with 100k ARR / ~5% equity and a small salary, or a 30 person team with 1M ARR / ~0.1% and a good salary?

I'm spitballing at what I think are maybe realistic numbers, but wonder what level of risk people think they'd take on.

Heavily influenced by age, experience, net worth and historical risk profile.

Until a few years ago I'd have taken the lower risk option every time. I had dependents and a pension target. Now, with less consequences to risk, I'd take interesting risky over boring dependable.

Before I was 25 and had grown an amygdala I'd take the risk.
