> When China was facing a backlash over its handling of early stages of the pandemic last year, and some US officials were floating the theory that the virus could have escaped from a Wuhan lab, CGTN started to push its own conspiracy theory.
> Despite a complete lack of evidence, the station suggested the virus originated at a military base in Maryland in the US and was brought to China by American soldiers during an athletics competition.
Can't believe the BBC calls a piece of political art "fake", especially when Australian soldiers murdered teenage Afghans in cold blood. Does it no longer pretend to abide by media impartiality.
Yes, I see so many reports call the image “fake” or “doctored”, making it sound like some fake news conspiracy or photoshop - but looking at the actual image, it is so clearly political art, I feel like I’m going crazy -

The Chinese can see that the BBC and other Western media has lied about it for over a year now.
That's 1.4 billion people watching the lie. In a racist way, if it was a shopping mall we'd all know it's just because that's where people congregate.
So why not push it "originated at a military base in Maryland", and better still why not believe it? It doesn't change anything, the West believes one lie, why not believe their own one.
We've know since January. The people we first see with a virus also came from ground zero? It's not logical to state this as fact. It's purely Western propaganda. Escape from a lab is far more logical, but similarly should not be stated as fact.
They are known for cooperating with the intelligence community in planting fake news and narratives about the enemies of the UK, just like they accuse their enemies of. There was a recent leak which documented that.

Stop reading the BBC, or at least read it with the same eyes as Russian and Chinese media.
