As a layman, I'd imagine this is a death knell for the vaccine in the US, even if it eventually gets EUA, since there are plenty of alternatives without this disclaimer. That's of course more a read on the marketing/PR aspects of this rather than any significant chance of adverse effects.
Outside, where the mRNA vaccines are in short supply, I wonder how this will change things. Perhaps we'll see a rapid shift towards J&J, since the price differential is not huge (~2-3x) and there may be a significant number of unused doses in the US.
