There's no writeup or explanation here. TypeScript is metadata, so you didn't fix your library by removing it. You just didn't understand how to use it.

That's totally valid, of course. TypeScript has work to do to prevent accidental misuse. But a lot of the sharp edges are also necessary to allow interop with the various ES module systems and existing libraries.
