This is a short post on GitHub and doesn’t contribute anything new to this ‘discussion’.

This is not content worthy of hacker news, as I see it.

Like everyone else, I'd like to make the FOSS space a safe place for all sorts of people.

RMS could acknowledge he's rude and could apologize. He could show he's trying to be a nicer person. I'm not aware of any recent account of sexually improper behavior, but that could be just because women actively avoid him based on his reputation.

For him, the proper course of action would be to retreat as a front figure of the movement he founded. We can admire him for that brilliance, but, right now, he's hurting his cause more than anything else. He's very intelligent and should be able to recognize that.

Yes. It's not just about historical allegations. It's about a complete lack of awareness that he's doing anything wrong, and a refusal to put in place any kind of support to mitigate that.
