I never turn my video on now. At 46 nobody will hire me if I turn on video. Once I turned off videos during interviews I got several offers.
IOW like a good old fashioned conference call using traditional land lines.
I find video helpful to pick up on nonverbal queues like if someone is trying to say something, better than the raise/lower hand emote.

I also find that with team building it helps to put faces with names but that’s not as important as trying to improve the amount of information shared in the group call.

Please note: While they write about "group IQ", they only considered dyads (two persons).
