Ask HN: Sell domains are keep plugging away?
About 4.5 years ago, I started a project with the intention of making it easier to fight against gerrymandering. My hypothesis was that the more extreme the gerrymandering, the more fragile the district was. With the right technology tools, citizens could “vote with their feet” and use this fragility as a weapon. Both the Democrats and Republicans would be forced to draw more even boundaries. Representatives would be forced to represent their constituents, leading to increased bipartisanship and a stronger democracy.
The problem, of course, is that it has been 4.5 years. I had the beginnings of an MVP, which I showed to a number of people (who were indeed impressed), but ran into a problem. Time. To do it right, I need to spend a lot more time on the project and I just don’t have that. In my shoes, what would you do? It’s an important topic - should I try to find someone that I can sell the domains to and get them to take over? Or should I just keep plugging away at it?
