Ask HN: Graphical/visual Unix shell with built-in file explorer etc.?

I remember a few years ago someone wrote a graphical UNIX shell (for Linux and OSX, Windows was highly experimental). So instead relying only on text-based commands, we can also do visual-based operations like displaying image files, browsing our file system, etc.

Anyone remember it?
