Is this another case of The Intercept failing abjectly to protect sources? AFAIK that's one of the reasons Laura Poitras quit/was fired.
I can't find anything stating how he was eventually caught, but the six year period between contact and arrest is a decent sign they did what they could to protect the source. Either way, they're hardly the villains here.
Certainly not, but they could be better at protecting sources.
