You are also more likely to be financially successful when you do not actually need the financial success.
Has this been studied? My personal experience is the opposite, but it's an interesting phenomenon I'd like to understand better.
The more money you have above your basic needs the easier it is for you take risks. The more success you have the more people are willing to take a risk on you.
Basically they are no longer risks
You said it right !! Its exactly how this happens.
Wow that is a slick side project. I'd love to create something like that but I don't find I have the time.

I'd really love to have a side project so I can live off of it and pick my own hours. However I find that my lack of free time limits the time I could give to something like this.

Hey, I'm Jose, the author of the article.

Thanks so much for this comment. Let me know if I can answer any questions.

Finding the time is hard, yes. In my case it was important to have small goals I could accomplish each week so I wasn't overwhelmed with all the things I needed to do.

Hey Jose, how much time did it took you to build this project?

Thanks, awesome work

Thank you!

I built a basic first version that a company started to use in 6 months during weekends and early mornings and then another 6 months to get to the current version.

I think it could be done faster but I also have a family so I took my time :)
