This looks nice enough, but I've been using my general calendar app (Google Calendar) with a yearly repeating event for this, and I'm not quite sure what this gives me over that.
Thanks! I agree - this is probably functionally inferior to using your calendar.

I built this as a small open-source Supabase demo and something I'd personally use.

A bit of very low contrast, especially on the byline "stop forgetting...".

Idea- Allow adding birthdays in alternate calendars. That would be a real differentiator from things like Google Calendar, which don't usually allow recurring events based on an alternate calendar. But a lot of people do celebrate birthdays based on other calendars, so when the main proposition is recurring events, it makes sense as a feature.
